Dos mesas ALES en IWAC

El pasado 4 y 5 de agosto un grupo de socios ALES presentaron sus trabajos en dos mesas redondas del congreso virtual IWAC: International Writing Across the Curriculum Conference. Compartimos fotos del encuentro y unas notas escritas por el presidente de ALES, Federico Navarro, quien presentó las mesas.

I am going to do some translanguaging here as this is a multilingual panel
And all presenters will get creative
so that you can follow their presentations in Spanish, English or Portuguese
And I think this is the first important contribution of the panel.
 
It is also one of two Latin American panels in this IWAC conference
These panels included presentations from Chile, Colombia, Perú, Argentina, Brazil
And comments from US scholars Chris Thaiss, today, and Chris Anson in the other panel.
 
And this international exchange and conversation
is another exciting feature
As we are about to sign the first international affiliation agreement
Between ALES
The Latin American Association of Writing Studies in Higher Education
And AWAC
The Association for Writing Across the Curriculum.

We created this association in 2016
And it now has more than one thousand members from all over the world
Including 45 members from the US.
